Snoring and sleep apnea
Process of treatment
The Diagnosis Process for Treatment
Polysomnography, which is a standard test for every sleep
disorder diagnosis, will be performed.
Polysomnography is sleep disorder diagnosis detects any problems that occur during sleep from brain waves to
eye movement, breathing curve, breathing effort, electrocardiogram, oxygen saturation, leg movement.
All of the body's possible reactions during sleep appear on one screen in real time.
Since it is an examination doing during sleep overnight in the examination room,
you can do it at any time depending on your sleep cycle.
Based on the RDI index from polysomnography findings,
the severity of snoring and sleep apnea is determined.
To identify the shape of the airway, etc.
Conduct an Endoscopic examination and 3D-CT
-
Endoscopic examination
Airway structure Check the closed area
inside of the airway, appearance, etc. -
3D-CT photography
Check the width/volume/shape
of the airway
Determine the correct treatment method
through Polysomnography, Endoscopic examination, and a 3D-CT
Takes all the results into consideration and decides
which treatment method (surgical/non-surgical) is is needed.
Non-surgical treatment of snoring and sleep apnea
Determine sleeping apnea by the RDI index
in case of simple snoring/light/moderate/severe/advanced severe stage
Positive pressure machine
-
Non-surgical treatment is one of the best ways to treat sleep apnea. A mask is connected to a machine, such as a small humidifier, which allows air to come out of the machine and open up blocked airways during sleep to help you breathe.
Principle of Positive
Pressure Machine
Determine sleeping apnea by the RDI index
if snoring is simple snoring/light/moderate stage
Intraoral Device
-
If the lower jaw is lowered by gravity during sleep and the muscles supporting the uvula and tongue also fall backwards, creating friction with the airway area, the Intraoral Device can help prevent snoring. This is a treatment for patients with simple snoring without sleep apnea or breathing problems.
GNG only uses Intraoral Devices that have been thoroughly proven to be safe and effective in manufacturing processes certified by GMP, a standard for medical device manufacturing and quality control. In addition, for a more stable and quality sleep, all intraoral Devices are custom-made considering the shape and condition of individual teeth.
